Why a rain suit matters

Wet weather is part of karting, and staying dry directly affects how well you drive. A good rain suit gives you three things:

  • Stays dry and warm, a waterproof outer keeps rain and wheel spray off your race suit, so you don't get cold and stiff mid-session.
  • Freedom of movement, a lightweight, flexible cut lets you steer and move in the seat without the suit fighting you.
  • Protects your race suit, keeping your homologated suit clean and dry extends its life and means it's ready for the next dry session.

Rain suits we stock

Sparco

The Sparco Rainsuit T-1 Evo is a transparent design that pulls on over your race suit, keeping your team colours and numbers visible while sealing out the rain — a popular choice for competitive drivers who need to stay identifiable on track.

ARROXX

The ARROXX Rainsuit Xbase in black offers a durable, well-priced waterproof oversuit for wet sessions, and the Xbase Junior brings the same protection in a fit made specifically for younger drivers.

How to choose the right rain suit?

Fit over your race suit

A rain suit needs enough room to go over your race suit comfortably without bunching or restricting movement. If you wear a rib protector or extra layers in the cold, factor that in too , many drivers size their rain suit slightly larger than their race suit for this reason.

Transparent vs coloured

A transparent rain suit keeps your team livery and race number visible, which some competition rules require. A coloured or black suit like the ARROXX Xbase is a straightforward, hard-wearing option for testing, practice and arrive-and-drive use.

Sizing

Rain suit sizing varies between brands and is usually given as S–XL or by height for juniors. Always check the size chart on the individual product page, and if you're between sizes or unsure how it fits over your suit, contact us and we'll help.
